Design Services for Metro Transit
EVS holds a master contract for design services with Metro Transit. Since 2005, EVS has successfully performed numerous projects under this contract such as I-394 and Louisiana Avenue Park and Ride, Ft Snelling LRT Station, 50th St LRT Station, I-394 Corridor Rehabilitation, and the Hiawatha and Lake Transit Station.A recent accomplishment was the emergency design of a Park-and-Ride lot on I-35W at Industrial Boulevard in Minneapolis. As a result of the bridge collapse, Mn/DOT requested that Metro Transit coordinate the design of the project within a one week timeframe. Under our Master Contract with Metro Transit, we were selected to provide the conceptual design. A verbal go-ahead for the project was given on a Monday, one of our survey crews was sent to the site and provided the survey information to our engineers by Tuesday, and the engineers were able to provide a conceptual design to Metro Transit by Friday. This included two meetings with Mn/DOT and Metro Transit staff and then incorporating their revisions into the design.
